In even years the Association organises its own national exhibition. These are held throughout the country, the intention being to take exhibitions out of London. Each exhibition concentrates on a major theme of philatelic activity. The exhibitions to date and forthcoming are as follows:

The exhibition is organised by the local philatelic federation on behalf of ABPS and ABPS Exhibitions Ltd. There are many exhibits and dealers are present. There are meetings of societies and talks given by eminent philatelists.

Each of these events is accompanied by an International Literature Competition. There are also Inter-Federation competitions for seniors and youth. The Senior Inter-Federation competition concentrates on the branches of philately not chosen as the theme of the exhibition.
