SOUVENIRS

A limited number of specially designed souvenirs were produced for each day of the exhibition. These included covers, presentation packs and bookmarks.

 Covers marking the 10th anniversary of the ABPS and the 60th anniversary of the AEPS.

A limited number of Smilers stamps with a special label marking the 10th Anniversary of the Association of British Philatelic Societies were produced and sold as presentation packs or complete sheets of twenty stamps.

Bookmarks (40mm x 230mm) in gold-blocked, leather-effect were produced in five colours and show, top to bottom:

The Basildon 2004 logo;
Basildon’s famous steel and glass bell tower;
The Basildon woodsman statue;
The badge of the Association of Essex Philatelic Societies.

 

SmartStamps, a Royal Mail facility whereby franking may be printed out using a home computer was used by the Society of Olympic Collectors to produce covers for each day of the exhibition.
